Celebrating New Year's Eve in Your Apartment

The new year is quickly approaching!
If you're hoping for a quiet night in, or if you want to host a party in your apartment, Compten Management has some great ideas to help.
If you're hosting in your apartment, take some time to relax that afternoon so you don't tire too early into the night. New Year's Eve parties usually begin around 9pm, which is just the right amount of time to enjoy a few games, a great movie, and some delicious appetizers! Try some of these make-ahead holiday appetizers, so you can have the food covered without rushing around the day of your party.
There are tons of fun New Year's Eve games to try out, but if you're a small group, the M&M straw game is a huge hit. Each player gets a straw, a small paper plate with a clock face drawn on, and a bowl of M&Ms. The first player to place a candy on each hour of the clock using only the straw wins!
For some people, watching a movie on New Year's Eve is a tradition. It's a great way to pass the time as you await midnight. Some classic New Year's Eve movies include While You Were Sleeping, The Apartment (1960), and ET The Extra Terrestrial. At midnight, don't forget to switch over to watch the countdown! This year, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest features Christina Aguilera.
